The best plastic surgeon in Korea

How you find the best Korean plastic surgeon?
When you make decisions, especially with medical concerns, you may wonder who will be my best surgeon who has abundant knowledge, experience, and honesty. As this is a medical decision, you do not want to take any possible risks that can affect your life and financial aspects seriously. We all know that finding the best and affordable medical service can be very daunting.
Many doctors claim that they are the best in various media, but not every doctor is the right choice for you. Many doctors are great at putting their best effort to fix the clients’ concerns and medical issues. We all respect and support doctors in general. However, in some cases, mistreatment and disrespect of clients, delayed and inconsistent medical practices hurt and erode our confidence in doctors. For this matter, there are some guidelines we would like to share to find the best cosmetic plastic surgery doctors in Korea.
First, you need to find a cosmetic doctor who is a real expert for your needs. Many doctors do cosmetic surgery daily from head to toe. However, there are some medical professionals that specialize in specific areas of the body. You would feel more comfortable if a doctor had done the operation over 1,000 times on this specific part of your body. For example, if you want to do Rhinoplasty, you need to know your designated doctor has conducted the procedure more than 1,000 times, which converts to at least 10 years of experience.
Second, many reviews nowadays can be manipulated, not only by the subject, but also by the SNS marketing companies. Paid reviews are very common in various countries. The reviews will be your least reference. The best way to get the real qualifications of a doctor are through referrals. The referral can be misleading also if the person giving the referral does not have the same interest as you in your medical issues. When you have a referral, your first priority should be finding the fundamental qualification of the doctors. The punctuality of their service, eagerness, honesty, kindness, knowledge, and finally their skill. Most of the doctors have enough experience in their field with knowledge, but the real qualification for their job such as professionalism and care cannot be achieved by just studying. The best doctor usually will be a good person, so you do not need to find just the most skillful doctor, but find a good person in professionalism. If you do this, at least you do not hurt your heart.
Third, a good plastic surgery doctor will answer as many questions you have because this will be his part of medical service and duty, not optional. Before you visit the doctor, you need to prepare and study about your medical concerns and issues. If you understand well about what needs to be treated and area, you will get more familiar with plastic surgery and have higher confidence. This kind of preparation usually results in a more positive outcome from the plastic surgery. When you ask questions to doctors, you need to ask his or her own experience, year of medical services, educational attainment, detailed procedure, any potential risk, risk management, side effects, recovery, and follow ups. Some doctors resist answering such questions, as they feel uncomfortable. They do not want to engage in any personal issue or concern, but try to execute the procedure as business activities. Because they do not understand you, the outcome sometimes will not be satisfactory for your deep concern. You need to avoid these types of doctors in your sensitive plastic surgery.
Fourth, if you are not comfortable with the doctor and the facility, for example if some employees are not kind and ready to help you, treating you as a business customer, and disrespecting you, you need to reconsider visiting the place. In this case, you need to find a second opinion by some other doctors on the same issue you have. Every doctor has a different understanding of their clients and the same medical or non-medical treatment. Sometimes, you can find a much more valuable result in the second opinion.
Finding the best Korean plastic surgeon in Korea will not be easy for you in most cases. We at Korea Plastic Surgery are specialized in this concern. We have qualified professionals who are prescreened by the above-mentioned process. We want to make sure any clients should be treated equally and fairly in respect. At the same time, the affordable medical service should be obtained in a legitimate fee schedule. We will make sure of that.
Plastic Surgery in Social Context
Appearance to others has been an important subject in our history. The individual social status determined what we wore and how we appeared. In the industrialization era, overweight people could be considered wealthy bourgeoisies. Venus and Cleopatra were portrayed as plump. In modern viewpoint, they cannot be beauties compared to the female actresses we see on TV and movies daily. Our biological body and appearance are considered in a social context as a cultural outcome representing the way of life and interpretation of the concept of beauty among social members. As medical techniques improve, the notion of beauty used to be formed only naturally changes its characteristics as it is modified or revised by medical professionals.
More and more, this clinically revised beauty to the people can be considered as a physical asset in this industrial society. Many people understand that attractiveness is one of the major advantages for those who enter into the job market. This trend is more saturated in the lower and middle class of the society due to the fact that they have much higher competitiveness in the job market, as we see especially in places such as Korea. The ratio of the capital burden to them is much higher than those in higher socio-economic class. They believe attractiveness is a form of asset to enhance their existing classes, so the investment of plastic surgery is not just only for their own satisfaction, but also this investment can be converted to other potential assets to generate more opportunities economically and socially.
Awareness of biological attractiveness is getting more familiar to the young ones. Beautification efforts such as buying suitable clothing, cosmetics, handbags, exercise, and surgical procedures are no longer dominant activities to the people having financial abundance. The cosmetic surgery is not only biological treatment any more. It affects our life as an extra consumerism giving higher expenses to the average family economically. It can be understood as a socio-cultural demand within young people, especially young females, compared to the elders who try to fix more aging matters in priority.
As the industrial society tends to be more diverse, and the function of the men and women are diluted, the sudden increase of plastic surgery is not stable any time soon, but rapidly growing in coming times. Times ago, husbands earned money, and wives managed the general household matter, but this formula is getting fragile due to the higher living costs. In Korea in 2022, the ratio of women participating in the job market to men is about 60%, and the income compared to the male workers is about 60%. The higher living costs, higher housing price, more widely accepted unstable jobs are pushing women to the independent stage. As a point of this condition, many young females try to appeal in the job market and in the marriageable ages, they tend to be more comparative with physical attractiveness as a physical asset. For these reasons, we should not see plastic surgery as just a desire of self-awareness of beautification, but overall social inequality promotes this phenomenon marginally. Because of the impetus of higher self-awareness and social-economic assets of beautification, the demand for surgical procedures for beautification will be increased consistently in industrial societies. How we interpret this trend depends solely on the individual preference, or we need to evaluate and find a more regulatory way to provide safer and affordable treatment to the potential candidates? This is the task for the scientific community and government. We need to pay attention more to this surgical procedure and phenomenon as a social demand, not only as an individual demand.
Negative Consideration of Plastic Surgery
There is a myth that plastic surgery makes anyone beautiful and happier if they spend a good amount of money. This is not true. The most beautiful word in the English dictionary is beautiful. The foremost requirement and condition of a beautiful person in men and women is the heart and soul, not just body. If you meet a person who does not have common sense or etiquette, no matter how attractive he or she, you feel abomination. Someone egoistic, someone not kind, someone wicked, and so on. Everyone believes life is an incessant journey to learn and develop endlessly. Plastic surgery is not a panacea for your desire to be attractive. For that, you need to have decent knowledge, ethics, manners and so on. Beyond this, there are some negative aspects of cosmetic surgery.
Unfortunately, age is the major factor in appearance. Most plastic surgeries are not necessary for aged ones because even if one spends a huge amount of money, the aging phenomenon will come back sooner and later. Some people like and accept his or her own aged condition including appearance and memory. Some cannot stand it. This is totally up to the person in how they perceive life as it is. Young ones already have a great shape of body and face in full energy. The skin is shining and moisturized. They may not need any procedure because the procedure may negatively affect their great condition of body.
Plastic surgery can be potentially dangerous. There is no perfect surgery. The surgery has its own risks. The major risk of this procedure is anesthesia. No one guarantees 100% positive results and recovery from the anesthesia application. Also, most of recovery periods can be 6 weeks or more. Side effects such as breathing problem and infection, while very minimal compared to the numbers of surgeries, no one can overlook the negative consequences. This is the area anyone who wants to undergo the surgery should consider carefully.
Financial burden will be another factor to yourself and family. A minor rejuvenating of your face may not be too expensive. However, many surgeries can be expensive depending on your expectation and budget. Many people do the surgery by borrowing money or using credit card. This can be developed to the difficult point where you need to pay back for a long time. The price of the surgery is not uniform because the area and size of the surgery cannot be calculated uniformly. For example, the cost of liposuction can be from $1,000 to $20,000 because of the various treatment area, depending on skinny person, overweight person, and many variable factors. Before you plan to do any surgery, you need to consider this cost factor wisely.
